We’re really excited to be bringing this sewing weekender to you. We will be sewing the Tilly and the Buttons Francoise Dress.
Your Tutor: Helen Boor, who is a designer and pattern cutter, will be holding your hand through the complete process of dressmaking. Giving you the confidence to pick up a pattern, trace your size, sewing up a practice piece, fitting your pattern to your shape, learning alteration techniques and transfer the alterations back to your pattern.
Deciphering terminology and pattern markings, having the opportunity to try and use a variety of pattern rulers and curves.
What is included:
- Francoise Pattern
- Tracing paper
- Fabric for the practice piece (Saturday)
- Use of our sewing machines & equipment
- Helen’s priceless experience
You will need fabric for making your actual dress on the Sunday.

A bit about the Francoise Dress: It has the option of short or long sleeves, with or without collar. Whilst the dress is a nod to the 60’s, it can look very different and current given your fabric choice.
