Saturday 6th April 2024 ~ 9.30am – 3.00pm (1 x 5.5 hour session – with 30 min break)
Full day workshop sewing the Luxe Tote, all materials are included in the cost.
Luxe Tote : our in house designed bag, perfect for beginners.
- This pattern has easy to follow instructions, with photos.
- There’s a pocket inside that’s made separately and added in.
- No hardware, saving extra expense and can be easily repeated.
- Uses 2 types of interfacing.
- Tips for sewing bulky fabrics.
- Suitable for beginners to bag making.
- Box corners – for a flat bottom.
- Use of our equipment and sewing machines.
- Tea/herbal and coffee will be provided.
Approx finished sizes: 17″ width x 14″ high x 3″ depth.
DETAILS:
- AGE: 16 years plus.
- CLASS SIZE: 4 people.
- SKILL: confident beginner, you will have used a sewing machine, able to finish seams by reversing, and/or attended one of our classes previously.
- MATERIALS INCLUDED: Luxe Tote Kit – outer fabric usually corduroy, cotton lining, pocket fabric and zip, interfacing x2, thread and photo instructions . There will be a selection to choose from prior to attending – these will be all cut to size, ready for your day of sewing.
- FULL DAY CLASS : We will have approx 30 minutes to stop for a break. Please take along your own lunch. Tea/Coffee/Herbal Teas will be available throughout the day.

- WHERE: sessions takes place in the studio space at The Wee Fabric Shop, 21 Tomatin Road, Inverness. IV2 4UA.
IMPORTANT : From 2021, classes are no longer refundable. There is a lot of work to be done before you arrive at your class. Preparation and time, materials sourced and paid for, fabrics cut to size, instructions written / printed out, thread matched, bobbins wound, and Tutors paid. Class sizes are small and everything is costed. For this reason we are also unable to transfer your place to another class. You may send someone in your place, just let us know their name and contact details in advance please. If you are unable to attend, do contact us as soon as possible 01463 263007, with exceptional circumstances we may be able to arrange something but this is not part of the booking terms and conditions.
