Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 1-4pm
Previously only released as a kit – here’s the class! The 2-toned diagonal design shows off the contrasting fabrics and the colourful zips adds some fun at the top! (The wider tape of the zip, makes it easier to sew in).
The session includes fabrics to create one Toma Zipper Bag. It is a relaxed, fun class, where we want you to enjoy your experience. You will be guided through every step.
- During the session you will be cutting out your fabrics, from our pre-assembled templates
- Sewing a zip to outer and lining fabrics
- Topstitching
- Adding a side tag
- Boxing corners
- Use of our equipment and sewing machines.
- Instructions to take away.
CLASS DETAILS:
- AGE: 16 years plus.
- CLASS SIZE: 4 people.
- MATERIALS: Everything is provided for you to make one Toma zipper bag.
- TOMA SIZE : Approx finished size: 8.5″ / 22cm width 6″ / 15cm high 2.3-4″ / 7cm depth.
- TUTOR: Marice.
- REFRESHMENTS: Tea/herbals and coffee will be provided.
- WHERE: sessions takes place in the studio space at The Wee Fabric Shop, 21 Tomatin Road, Inverness. IV2 4UA.
This class is for you: If you have basic sewing experience, have completed our beginners Tote Bag class or already know your way around the machine and looking forward to sewing socially!
IMPORTANT : From 2021, classes are no longer refundable. There is a lot of work to be done before you arrive at your class. Preparation and time, materials sourced and paid for, fabrics cut to size (this does take more time than you would expect), instructions written / printed out, thread matched, bobbins wound, and Tutors paid. Class sizes are small and everything is costed. For this reason we are also unable to transfer your place to another class. You may send someone in your place, just let us know their name and contact details in advance please. If you are unable to attend, do contact us as soon as possible 01463 263007, with exceptional circumstances we may be able to arrange something but this is not part of the booking terms and conditions.
