Saturday 13th April 2024, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
This is your one stop crochet school where we will delve in to the foundations of getting started in crochet. We will look at hook handling and creating your foundation chain to get started. This class is suitable for complete beginners to crochet, no experience is required.
We work on three basic stitches which are commonly used in crochet patterns;
- Single Crochet
- Half Double Crochet
- Double Crochet Stitch
Once you have worked through the stitches, we will then look at how you can increase and decrease these stitches. Three hours go by in a flash, but we will look at how to read crochet patterns as we go along, and if time allows, how to join new colours. By the end of the session you will feel confident in your newly gained crochet knowledge to have a go at home. Look out for other Crochet School sessions where you can expand your skill further!
CLASS DETAILS:
- AGE: 16 years plus.
- CLASS SIZE: 4 people.
- MATERIALS: A small starter kit of 2 colours of yarn and a crochet hook will be provided.

- WHERE: sessions takes place in the studio space at The Wee Fabric Shop, 21 Tomatin Road, Inverness. IV2 4UA.
IMPORTANT : From 2021, classes are no longer refundable. There is a lot of work to be done before you arrive at your class. Preparation and time, materials sourced and paid for, fabrics cut to size (this does take more time than you would expect), instructions written / printed out, thread matched, bobbins wound, and Tutors paid. Class sizes are small and everything is costed. For this reason we are also unable to transfer your place to another class. You may send someone in your place, just let us know their name and contact details in advance please.
