Stretch Knicker Class ~ Saturday 17th February 2024 10am – 1pm

Saturday 17th February 2024  10:00am – 1:00pm  £70

In this class you will make a pair of stretch jersey knickers in your choice of cut and size (pattern goes from Hip 33″ – 61″).  These will be finished with stretch lace on the leg openings and an elastic waistband.

Included in the class is a paper copy of the Iris Knickers by Tilly & The Buttons.  So we can focus on the cutting & sewing on the day we ask that you collect your pattern (if possible or we will post it out) and trace out your desired size pattern pieces (do not cut these out, we are going to make some adjustments so that you learn how to do a professional looking enclosed gusset – a technique not included in the Tilly pattern but a great one to learn).

Included:

• Paper copy of Iris Knickers pattern and instructions, including tracing paper to trace at home.
• Jersey fabric, lace, lingerie elastic and thread.
• Tea & coffee, sewing machines and tools.

This class is not suitable for complete beginners to dressmaking.  You should have experience using a pattern and have sewn a few garments.  If you’re not sure if the class is for you then please do get in touch with us to discuss.

IMPORTANT : From 2021, classes are no longer refundable. There is a lot of work to be done before you arrive at your class. Preparation and time, materials sourced and paid for, fabrics cut to size, instructions written / printed out, thread matched, bobbins wound, and Tutors paid. Class sizes are small and everything is costed. For this reason we are also unable to transfer your place to another class. You may send someone in your place, just let us know their name and contact details in advance please.
